FIJI FAQs
How long does it take to get to Fiji?
There are a number of non-stop flights from the US, including a new non-stop flight from DFW that is 12-13 hours flying time. This flight departs on Thursday night and arrives Saturday morning. These flights are typically between $600-$1300.
Booking tip: Search the starting point for the flight as DFW, LAX, or SFO for the best flight options and prices! You can save a significant amount on flights by booking a separate domestic flight from your home airport to DFW, SFO, or LAX.
What airport will I arrive at?
You'll book your flight to Nadi International Airport (NAN). This is on Fiji's main island, Viti Levu. Airport transfers to Volivoli Beach Resort are included. We will be picked up from NAN and enjoy a 2 and a half hour scenic drive to the resort.
When does diving begin?
You can start diving the day you arrive, on the house reefs! Unlimited shore diving is included.
What experience level should divers have?
While you'll need a minimum of Open Water certification, this trip is suitable for newer divers and more experienced divers. You can expect easy shore dives on the house reef, and reef/wall dives on the boat dives, with some drift diving in currents possible.
What's the water temperature in February?
February is warm season. Water temperatures average 82 degrees F at this time of the year. Most guests are comfortable in a 3mm shorty or a rash guard.
Is this trip suitable for non-divers?
Yes, there is plenty to do! The resort offers use of snorkel gear, kayaks, and standup paddleboards. There are 5 swimming pools, a day spa, cultural performances, and other resort activities. Additional tours/activities are available, including off-site tours of the local area (including a beautiful waterfall), dolphin safari, sport fishing, and more.
Are camera facilities available?
Yes, there is a 14-person camera room with 56 international charging ports, 28 USB charging stations, and 14 airguns. Fiji is a photographer's dream!
